1988-06-08 Escape from Noise

Escape from NoiseImage via WikipediaNoise is everywhere. And in 1988, noise music was gaining in acoustic prominence as well. So, this program takes an opportunity to explore that new noise, and it leads to laughter, contemplation and an often odd coincidence of how noises come together. For the serious noise enthusiast only. Oh, and this is all sparked by the Negativland release "Escape from noise."

Music included: Negativland, Chrome, Masked Men, Tuxedomoon, Laibach, Coil, Virgin Prunes, Jackhammer Five, Nate Myer, Chris & Cosey, Cassiber, and a lot more.
