1997-05-28 Source Lab
I bought a random CD at Pure Pop Records because it looked interesting. It was. It came from France, and featured a multicultural group of artists pumping out music from the Paris suburbs that mixed rap, lounge, trip hop, acid jazz, dance and a lot more styles into a composite that I really found interesting. This show features my favorite cuts from the four CDs I managed to find. A lot of specific groups, like La Funk Mob, Baz Baz, Motor Bass, DJ Cam, La Chatte Rouge and many more. It was on the Caroline label. You can find more information at http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1020396/a/Source+Lab.htm for volume 1, and volume 2 can be found at http://www.amazon.com/Source-Lab-2-Various-Artists/dp/B0000035DV . Nice stuff. Enjoy.
